About GapFiller

What is GapFiller?

GapFiller is a personal workspace for teachers. You plan lessons on a calendar, build curricula, attach materials, assign homework, schedule exams, and keep a teaching archive that stays yours across schools and years.

See What is GapFiller and how does it work?.

Is GapFiller a school platform?

No. It does not replace registers or tools your school requires. It is built around your planning and materials — even if you change school or teach in more than one place. Longer read: personal vs school-wide tools and GapFiller vs school LMS.

Who can use it?

Anyone who teaches: school, university, tutoring, language courses, private lessons or training. If you teach, you can organise your work in GapFiller.

Do I need to download an app?

No. GapFiller works in the browser on computer, tablet or phone.

Plans and billing

Is there a free trial?

No. Watch the product demo on the website before you buy, then choose a plan at signup. There is a 15-day money-back guarantee.

What plans are available?

Standard, Pro and Lifetime.

PlanIn short
StandardEveryday planning with sensible limits (e.g. schools, subjects, storage)
ProHigher limits plus extras such as Google Drive and OneDrive
LifetimePay once — Pro-level access forever, no recurring subscription

Details: Manage your subscription and Create your account.

What's the difference between Standard and Pro?

Standard covers day-to-day planning with limits (for example up to 1 school, 2 subjects, and 500MB storage on current pricing). Pro removes those limits and adds Google Drive & Microsoft OneDrive integration and other Pro extras. Lifetime includes all Pro features forever.

Why choose Lifetime?

Your archive grows more valuable every school year. Lifetime is a one-time payment so you keep building without a recurring bill. Billing changes are not managed in the Stripe portal for Lifetime.

Can I cancel or change billing?

Yes for Standard and Pro: manage payment method, invoices, plan/period changes and cancellation from ProfileManage billing in Stripe. You usually keep access until the end of the current billing period. Lifetime has no subscription to cancel.

Are payments and data safe?

Payments go through Stripe — GapFiller does not store your card on its servers. Your lessons and files are stored with standard security practices; your workspace belongs to you.

Getting started

How long does setup take?

A few minutes: add school, subjects, grades and a timetable, then start planning. Follow Create your account, then the onboarding walkthrough.

Can I use more than one school?

Yes — GapFiller is built for multiple schools, subjects and grades. Exact limits depend on your plan (Standard has tighter limits than Pro / Lifetime).

How do I change the language?

GapFiller is available entirely in English, Italian and Spanish (more languages coming later). ProfileSelect languageEN, IT or ES. Guide: Change language and preferences.

Calendar, curriculum and teaching

How do lessons get on my calendar?

Create them one by one, or set a timetable and generate lessons for a date range. Holidays can be excluded via the academic calendar.

What is a curriculum?

A reusable teaching plan: a sequence of topics with plans, materials and todos. You can create, import from past lessons, and apply topics onto calendar lessons.

How do homework and exams work?

Homework is assigned from one lesson and due on another. Exams are lessons with type Exam. Guides: Assign and track homework, Schedule and manage exams.

Can I reuse work next year?

Yes. Duplicate or adapt curricula, keep materials in Files, and re-apply topics to a new calendar. That archive is a core reason to use GapFiller. See also how teachers keep an archive across school changes and a planner that follows you.

Files and cloud storage

Can I upload materials?

Yes — from Files or from a lesson’s Materials tab. Guide: Upload and organise materials.

Can I connect Google Drive or OneDrive?

Yes on Pro and Lifetime. On Standard you’ll see an upgrade prompt. Guide: Connect Google Drive and OneDrive. Disconnecting does not delete files already imported into GapFiller.

Tools and support

What teacher tools are included?

Grade Calculator, Evaluation Grids and Gap Fill Generator — available from Teacher Tools in the sidebar.

How do I contact support?

ProfileHelp & Support, or the sidebar support link. Copy the email and write to us — replies usually within about 24 hours. Guide: Manage your profile.
