Change language and preferences

Switch GapFiller between English, Italian and Spanish, control preparation tracking, and set your default calendar view, hours and weekdays.

By the end of this guide you'll set your interface language and the preferences that shape how the calendar and preparation indicators work.

Open Profile

Sidebar → Profile (Profile Settings). Language, preparation tracking and calendar preferences all live here.

Change language

Under Select language, choose EN, IT or ES.

The whole app interface switches to that language. Your choice is saved to your account so it follows you on other devices when you sign in.

GapFiller is available entirely in English, Italian and Spanish today. We'll add more languages in the future.

Select language — EN, IT or ES — under Profile

Dates and some formats also follow your language (for example how dates are displayed).

Lesson preparation tracking

The Lesson Preparation Tracking section controls whether preparation indicators appear across GapFiller.

Toggle Show preparation tracking:

  • Enabled — prepared / needs-prep cues on the calendar, curriculum stats, the lesson toggle, and bulk preparation actions
  • Disabled — those indicators stay hidden if you prefer a quieter calendar
Turn Show preparation tracking on or off for calendar and lesson indicators

When tracking is on, prepared lessons stand out more clearly in calendar views. You still mark each lesson Prepared or Needs Prep from the lesson itself.

Calendar preferences

Expand the Calendar section on Profile.

Default calendar view

Choose how the calendar opens next time:

OptionBehaviour
Automatic (based on device)Follows your device (for example Day on phones)

  • Work day (07:30–18:30)
  • School day (07:30–14:00)

Pick which weekdays appear as columns in Week view (Monday–Sunday week):

  • All seven days
  • Hide Sunday
  • Hide Saturday and Sunday
  • Choose days — pick specific days
Expand Calendar to set default view, visible hours and which weekdays appear

Changes save as you choose them.

Lesson and personal colours

Grade colours on the calendar (and the colour for personal events) are under SchoolAppearance, not Profile. See Calendar colours for your grades.
