How to convert marks to a percentage

The percentage is simply (achieved points ÷ total points) × 100. This calculator does that instantly and adds the corresponding grade on whichever scale you choose — European, UK, or US.

Knowing the exact percentage helps students understand where they stand and helps teachers communicate results clearly across different grading systems.

Quick example

A student scores 27 out of 35. That is 77.1%. On the US scale, that is a C. On the European scale with a 60% threshold, it maps to roughly 7.9 out of 10.
