What is an evaluation grid?
An evaluation grid — also known as a rubric — is a structured table that maps assessment criteria against performance levels. Each cell describes what performance looks like at that level and assigns a point value, giving teachers a transparent, consistent way to grade student work.

Quick example
A writing assessment grid might have four criteria — Task Achievement, Coherence, Vocabulary, and Grammar — each scored on a 4-point scale (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor). A student who earns 3 + 4 + 3 + 2 scores 12 out of 16, or 75%.
